Hi! My name is Teacher Leah. I am a Sagittarius and was born in the year of the Rabbit. I graduated at the University of Santo Tomas with the degree of Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in English. I used to work for three years as a Reading teacher for grades four to six students. Aside from that, I've also taught Speech and Writing subjects to students of the same level, and English subjects for first year to fourth year high school students.
嗨！我的名字是Leah（蕾雅），我的星座是射手、生肖屬兔。我畢業於University of Santo Tomas（聖托馬斯大學），具有教育學位且主修為英語。我過去曾經為四到六年級生加強英文閱讀、英文口說與英文寫作長達三年的時間，也曾擔任高中一到四年級的專任英語教師。
I am a happy and understanding person. I love to meet different kinds of people and get to know and understand their culture. I love reading novels and watching movies and even dramas. I also love singing and acting. I have been part of the theatre club when I was in high school and I’ve been a theatre club moderator for two years in the school where I taught. I am also very interested in travelling and dreams to travel around the world.
我的個性開朗而且善解人意，也喜歡認識各式各樣不同的人們及他們迥異的文化。閒暇時我喜歡閱讀小說、看電影和連續劇。歌唱和演戲我也很有興趣，所以我從高中開始就一直是學校戲劇社的成員，在我之前任教學校的戲劇社團中也擔任他們的指導老師。我同時也熱愛旅行，夢想有朝一日能環遊世界。
As a teacher, I’m very patient. I understand that it is hard for some students to learn English and that’s why I help them by making the learning process fun and enjoyable. As a teacher, I believe that students learn best when they’re having fun and when they enjoy what they do. I am also flexible. I can adjust my teaching strategies to what my students need so I can fully help them and bring out the best in them. When I teach, I get to know what interests my students so I can provide examples and situations that they can relate to while helping them to learn English.
在教學時，我相當的有耐心。我能體諒學生在學習一個陌生語言時會遇到困難，我也願意幫助他們使學習過程變得有趣、好玩。我也相信在這樣快樂的氛圍下，學生學習的狀況是最佳的。同時我也能夠因材施教，針對不同的學習需求來調整我的教學方式，藉此激發出學生所有的潛能。我也會在教學的時候去了解學生的興趣，進而根據這些資訊來舉出學生能快速理解的例子，以達到最大的學習效率。
I believe that learning is a give and take process. I do not like to intimidate my students; instead I’ll be a helping hand for them. For people, learning English would open the doors to different opportunities. Through the use of the language, they can be better individuals who are globally competitive. Learning to use the English language would help them meet different kinds of people and thus help them to be more aware, informed, and connected to the world. These are only some from among the many benefits that one can get from learning English. English is for everyone and I’ll be happy to be able to share it to my students.
我深信學習是一個有付出就有收穫的過程。我不會對學生施加壓力，我認為我的角色是幫助他們的推手。而學好英文後，將會有更多機會的大門向你開啟，提昇你在日漸國際化環境下的競爭力。透過這個國際語言，你也可以拓展你的人脈和知識，進而與世界接軌。而這些都只是學習英文的眾多好處理的冰山一角而已！不管男女老幼都可以、都應該來學習講英文，也希望我有這個榮幸成為你學習經驗中的一環！
